Twilight whispers
and the stars begin to shine
The world slows down
and once again my breath is mine

I don’t have to hurry
and my mind unwinds
how lucky I am to have a place in the world
a purpose greater than myself

I have a message
a reason to hope
a way to show your people
there’s a better way to cope

Guide my footsteps
won’t you lead the way
place the words in my mouth
use me to say all you need to say

Help me to be the woman that you need me to be
May I guide and inspire in the same way you’ve shown me
May I hear your gentle voice at the end of the day
saying that you’re proud of me
